Proactive Public Relations is vital if you want to grow your business and keep ahead of the pack. The best publicity comes from being newsworthy and then telling people about it. In this article I will share with you some things that you can do to improve your newsworthiness. You should do one or more of these things and then you should write a press release and send it to your local paper or you should write about it on your blog.
Give a speech- Give a speech on a topic that you are an expert in at a local group like Rotary and Lions. Or you could give a speech at your local school or church group- it does depend on the topic
Sponsor a sporting group- Local sporting groups are always in need of some extra cash so why not sponsor your local team. Sponsoring a local sporting group is a great way to build goodwill within the community and it can also give you a great avenue to access new customers.
Support a charity- you could also support a charity that you are passionate about and help improve society. If you don’t want to donate money you could get your staff to volunteer some of their time. Organize an event- Another option to consider is organising some kind of event. You could look at educational events to promote your business, as long as your event is educational and informative and not just a sales pitch, or you could host your own charity dinner or something like that.
There are lots of options available to you if you want to promote your business through great publicity. You just need to ensure that you are being proactive. Follow the tips that I have mentioned above and you should be well on your way to boosting your business.
