Your telecommunications needs and telecommunications usage is not something that you should ignore. Making a few changes to the way that you run your telecommunications can save you a lot of time and a lot of money in the long run. There may be some upfront costs but it will definitely be worthwhile in the long run.
There are three things that you can do almost immediately with your telecommunications and have instantaneous results. With the right implementation you will see improvements straight away.
Upgrade your mobile technology- The first thing you should do is look at your mobile handsets. No longer are mobile handsets just about calls and text messages. If you get a Smart Phone like an Apple Iphone, you can use your mobile like a mini computer. You can send and receive emails, update your Facebook and Twitter as well as surf the internet all from your mobile handset. If you run a mobile sales force or require mobile payments or the immediate updating of stock inventories, then a smart phone with the right software can provide the solution to your problems.
Get a new phone system, or at the very least change your on hold message- Another thing that you have to do is make sure that you do is update your phone system at the office, or at least update your on hold music. You need to make sure that you are not stuck in the 1980’s with on hold music that sounds like it is out of an Atari computer game. You should tailor your on hold message to your business so people can learn more about your business whilst they are waiting to be put through to the right person. Also, a shiny new toy on a desk can make your staff happier and make them work more effectively
Go Wireless- You may also want to look at wireless internet opportunities. Wireless internet allows you to travel around the office (or out of the office) and work wherever you are. Wireless internet connection leads to more productivity as people are not chained to a desk.
Improving your telecommunications technology can improve your business. If you would like to discuss anything further that I have mentioned above, please do not hesitate to contact me.
