Productivity

The productivity benefits we can offer real estate clients fall into 3 areas.

Cloud PBX Features and Functionality – A technical description of the Cloud PBX product is probably a topic for another day, and chances are you aren’t really interested in how it works just what it does anyway so here are the features are relevant to you

  • Multiple Ringing Points – Real Estate Agents spend a lot of time on the road, and waste a lot of time travelling back to the office to listen to voicemails. With Cloud PBX, when  prospect rings an Agent’s desk phone it can be set so their mobile rings at the same time.
  •  Voicemail to Email – if someone leaves a voicemail for you at the office, you can get an email with your voicemail so you can follow up on the message from your Smartphone whilst out and about.
  • IVR and Informational Extensions – Some calls could be managed by a pre-recorded message (open for inspection times etc) This frees up your staff to take other calls that can sometimes be more pressing and helps you avoid leaving people on hold unnecessarily.

 Google Apps Product Suite, Collaboration & Connectivity

 I love Google Apps. We use it for our business. When people think of Google they’re often thinking of email (and you do get a strong, secure email platform with your own domain name) but with Google Apps you get so much more.

You can share and edit documents in real time and the Calendar is great for scheduling appointments and sending invites. If looking on a smart phone, you can click directly on the address and get directions to where you are going.  Further with documents being stored in the Cloud you can work anywhere on pretty much any device – desktop, laptop, tablet device or Smartphone.

Cost Savings

Real Estate Agents are experts at Real Estate, we’re experts at telecommunications. We’ve been able to help our Real Estate Agent clients make significant savings on their bills, without it having an impact on their infrastructure. In some cases we’ve saved clients upwards of $1700 per month whilst simultaneously improving their infrastructure and giving them better technology. We never tell clients to use the phone less!

Google Apps also represents a significant cost saving for most Real Estate Companies as It spending is minimized.

Business Protection

Real Estate Agents sometimes leave one company and go and work for another real estate company. It is for this reason alone that I cannot understand why Real Estate Businesses let staff members use their own mobile phone number. If a staff member leaves, they take all their leads with them to the new business. If you provide these staff members with a mobile phone, you get to keep these leads. Why? Because prospects will often call an Agent’s mobile number. If they’ve left your firm but you still own the number then you still own the lead and can convert them. If the Agent has taken their phone number to another firm, they are taking the lead with them. This is not great for business.

Marketing

My unique qualifications give me a unique perspective on telecommunications tools as a marketing tool. Here are three ways Real Estate Agents can use telecommunications tools for marketing purposes.

Messages on Hold – A Cloud PBX system allows you to upload and regularly change your messages on hold. This allows you to utilise the time customers are on hold to market to them. You could advertise your latest listings or other opportunities.

Unique numbers to track efficiency of marketing campaigns- A Cloud PBX also allows you the opportunity track individual marketing efforts as you can assign individual numbers to each marketing collateral.

Tablet devices as brochures and to collect data – Another great tool for Real Estate Marketing is an iPad or other tablet device. These can be useful for Real Estate Agents at Open for Inspections as, if someone does not like the house you have open, you can immediately offer them the opportunity to look at other properties and you can collect visitors data and have it automatically synchronise with your CRM.
