1. Define your task- What are you trying to achieve with this PR plan? What are your goals? Without a clear definition of what you are trying to do, how do you know if you’ve achieved anything?

2. Locate information- Once you know what you want to do, you need to find out information so you can organise and more fully define your message. You also need to work out who your target publics are what they want to hear and where they want to hear it.

3. Select resources- once you have all your information it’s time to select the resources that will help you achieve your results.

4. Organise your campaign- You may have only been brainstorming up until this stage but you now need to organise everything in to a cohesive plan. You should set it out in a way that is easy to follow and so other people in your business can follow what you are trying to achieve.

5. Present your campaign- We are now at the section where you need to implement your campaign. You need to get your message out to your audience using the avenues that are most likely to appeal to them. If you don’t, you are wasting your time and money

6. Evaluate your work- Was your public relations campaign successful? Were some parts of the plan more successful then others? Are there some changes that you could make to your tactics to boost the success of your campaign?
