REVIEW: TravelSIM International Roaming SIM card
SHORT REVIEW: Buy it Now!
LONG REVIEW:
If you are traveling overseas, you MUST get an international roaming SIM card (sometimes called a global roaming SIM card.) It will save you a fortune.
I’ve tried a few International Roaming SIM cards, and the one I recommend out of all of them is the Travel SIM international SIM card. It’s cheap, and extremely convenient.
If you don’t believe me, check out a comparison between Optus and Travel SIM on international roaming rates.

I used the Travel SIM when I recently went over to the USA, and I couldn’t have been happier. It easily connected to US networks, it easily and always made calls, and it was easy to add more credit to my account when I ran low. You can set it up for direct debit to automatically add credit if you wish but I wanted to test the online account features to make sure they were all up to scratch before recommending the Travel SIM International Roaming service. It was simple and easy to set up my online account and do this.
Next time I go overseas, I will probably set up direct debit just to save me those few minutes online.
However, by far the best thing about the Travel SIM International Roaming SIM card is the money that I saved! I don’t know about you, but I’m glad I got to spend my money on my holiday and didn’t have to worry about a scary international roaming bill when I got back.
Some people are concerned about having a different phone number. This is just silly. When traveling, you change your voicemail on your home mobile phone saying that you are traveling and that you can be contacted on your new International Mobile number. If it is necessary, they will call you- and in most places YOU WON’T PAY TO RECEIVE THE CALL!
You really should buy a Travel SIM international roaming SIM card if you travel overseas regularly.
The Travel SIM International SIM card will cost you $69.95 AUC. You can get one here.
