I love a good gamble. Sometimes I do well, sometimes I don’t. Like in any business, your ROI is related exponentially to the level of research and work you put in.
If you’re betting on the thoroughbreds in Victoria, you can get fairly detailed information from RISA for free. They also have a subscription service.
If you are betting on Greyhounds in Victoria check out The Watchdog.

Harness Racing Australia maintain their own form guides.
The TAB is obviously the most common toteliser to bet on, and they have online and phone betting which can be convenient. However, I also like betting at Sportsbet. They give you Fixed Odds opportunities as well as paying out at the highest price of the Australian tote’s. (If you join at Sportsbet put my code number in as referral. #107649. It will benefit both of us.)
But the real money, and the real fun, of the racing industry is to be made through ownership. Now, many people can not afford the costs of owning a horse or greyhound outright so you may have to look at syndication.
Ken King Thoroughbreds is your higher end syndicate but the overall results of the company suggest that it’s worth the extra outlay. Hancox is another I have checked out, but if you listen to Sport927 (which you will have to as part of your research) you will hear ads for other syndication groups.
Contact Harness Racing Australia to discuss owning a horse for harness racing, or to be put in the direction of a syndication manager.
If owning a horse seems a it too extravigant, you may want to consider Greyhound Syndication. I am putting together a syndicate for racing in Victoria. Click here for more information on the syndicate. Greyhound Racing Victoria also has plenty of information.
Of course, if racing is not your thing, and you like the casino gambling or poker, I recommend Poker Room.or Casino Room.
