For many companies, and seemingly more often than not bigger companies, Corporate Social Responsibility has become both the norm and a critical buzzword to some people.

Through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) companies have systems and processes to uphold ethical standards and international norms. Many companies believe in what they stand for whilst many activists (often with reason) are critical of CSR and suggest it merely a front or window dressing – merely part of the marketing department to portray their company in a better light.

Social Enterprises are a relatively new phenomenon.Social enterprises use traditional commercial strategies to maximise profits whilst ensuring that profits are spent improving some aspect of humanity or the environment – lofty noble causes.

At Best Business Deals, deep down, we think that Corporate Social Responsibility shouldn’t need a name. We think people should just care. We do. We think that given we are in a position to help people we have a moral obligation to help people.

We do this in a number of ways. We help a number of not for profits and a number of sporting organisations. We don’t loudly proclaim this as a badge of honour. It’s just the way we are.

We’re not telling you this in the hope that you’ll be proud of us. We’re telling you this in the hope that we can help you help other worthwhile organisations by using the products that you currently use. It’s possible to help organisations every time you make a phone call.

At an event we co-sponsored on July 16 we announced a partnership with Heart Kids Vic/Tas.

HeartKids is a support group for families of children with heart disease, be it congenital (born with) or acquired. We started as voluntary group of parents and individuals dealing with and concerned about the day to day realities of raising and caring for children with cardiac conditions, and sometimes dealing with the loss of a child due to their congenital heart defect. We have grown to an organisation of some strength with a presence in almost every state of Australia, as well as a National body – HeartKids Australia.

Through this co-partnership with the 2040 Club, profits from all new customers mentioning the 2040 Club will be shared with Heart Kids. This way customers can use their phone and still support a good cause.

Heart Kids is not the only organisation that we have this offer with. We work with aforementioned sporting clubs, not for profits, Service Clubs & Schools – anyone who wants or needs to raise funds really.

The purpose of this post is two-fold really – if you want to support Heart Kids give us a call. Or, if you have your own organisation you think worthy of support get in touch and we’ll get a fundraising package together for you. Get in touch today.
